Below are the relevant files for my Spotify Application Project regarding the Product Insights Manager. I've created an audio visualizer and recorded my Cover Letter to be plugged in to the visualizer, but you can also use an audio file of your own with it. I've also written out my Cover Letter below in case you have trouble getting the audio from my .zip file running. Instructions for how to get it running are in the README. Hi there,
My name’s Eric Petrocchi and applying to the role of Product Insights Manager.
I thought I’d use this as my cover letter. I promise it’s not a virus It’s a music visualizer I created with Javascript. You can plug in any mp3 or audio file you have saved on your computer but for now you’re stuck with my voice and some of my very average guitar playing.
My passion for music, as I imagine most Spotify team members share, attracted me to this position and I think I’d be a great addition to the team. I have more than 3 years of experience in analytics as an employee of T-Mobile, The Richards Group, and WPP as well as experience in the music industry as an intern at an artist management agency in Denver called 7s and the chair of my university’s music committee, where we planned shows at local venues with acts such as Cherub, Dram and Vanic.
I have skills and experience in data analysis and presentation, often interpreting data and telling a story to the client with the appropriate recommendations. I’m also involved in overseeing tag management systems and A/B testing in both the Adobe and Google suites and have a variety of certifications in both.
Other than that, I’m from Dallas, TX, my favorite band is Arctic Monkeys and my favorite rapper is JID and I play guitar and DJ in my free time.
