Cashmere Cat-Rice Rain (Twinztrack Remix)

There is no other producer in the game that is as busy and hardworking as Twinztrack. If you look at his Soundcloud page, you can see that the French artist has been releasing a steady stream of quality music for almost a year now. This track is a remix of Norwegian producer Cashmere Cat's "Rice Rain" and uses water drop sounds and very few vocals to create an incredible beat.

Vic Mensa-When A Fire Starts To Burn (Freestyle)

SAVEMONEY rep Vic Mensa releases a new freestyle. Using the beat from Disclosure's single "When A Fire Starts To Burn" and a sample from a Dave Chapelle skit, Mensa creates an upbeat track that showcases his unique style.

Hollow & Akimbo-The One Who Has to Carry You Home

Criminally underrated indie-rock band Hollow & Akimbo released their debut album today. To be fair, they're pretty new, with their debut single hitting iTunes in summer 2013. Hollow & Akimbo find a way to make a new sound that is somehow easily identified as indie rock and yet they manage to not sound like any other band around. There are a few free tracks of theirs on their Soundcloud, but to hear their whole LP go to iTunes or Spotify.

American Authors-Best Day Of My Life (Just A Gent Remix)

Australian Just A Gent has been busy lately, remixing Chain Gang's "Sleepwalking" and now this beautiful edit of American Author's "Best Day Of My Life." The song starts with a minimalized version of Zac Barnett's awesome anthem and turns into a feel good electronic beat. The track fluctuates between a symphony of synthesizers and an almost trap beat, and then to a relaxed, chill version of the same beat, and then back to the riff and vocals from the original song. It's all a testament of Just A Gent's skill, who is sure to continue to impress with his original and upbeat tracks.

Mac Miller-Diablo

In 2011, I think I had two rap songs on my iTunes. One was "Lose Yourself" and the other was "Donald Trump" by Mac Miller. Mac Miller was the first artist I listened to that wasn't on iTunes, at the time, I didn't even know what a mixtape was. It's the same case for a lot of people my age, Mac Miller's K.I.D.S. is like our generation's Dedication by Lil Wayne. I was an avid fan of Mac Miller until his weak I Love Life, Thank You mixtape. Tracks like "Party on 5th Ave" and "Frick Park Market" were the only things I used to play on my iPod Touch, and now I don't listen to him at all. By no means have I given up on him though, I've always listened to his new music with an open mind, but never got into it. I was so excited when someone told me that Watching Movies With The Sound Off was some of Mac Miller's best work, but I was only let down when I listened to it. Front to back, I couldn't find a single song a really liked even though songs like "Goosebumps" were decent. Still, I've never lost hope, and when Mac Miller said that he had four albums done or almost done I got excited. I figured there was no way that he could release that much music without me liking any of it, I just didn't know it would come so soon. In 2013, Mac Miller debuted his alter-ego Larry Fisherman, who produces most of Mac's music now. I was a bit worried by this because the best Mac Miller songs were the ones with complex beats with trumpets interlaced. On "Diablo", however, all of my fears have vanished as it's clear that Miller is maturing as an artist. He ditches his usual high energy beats for a slow, piano ridden one reminiscent of underground rap such as MF Doom. He slows things down in his flow and puts thoughts into his lyrics and it shows. After listening to this 3-minute joint once, I knew two things. 1) This is my favorite Mac Miller song and 2) Mac Miller's fucking back.

Big Gigantic-The Night Is Young (feat. Cherub)

Big Gigantic release their latest single from their eponymous album, out tomorrow. "The Night Is Young" takes on a dance beat that is similar to the work of Daft Punk. The Boulder, Colorado musicians get some help from electro-pop band Cherub on the vocals. Cherub is best known for their fantastic 2013 single "Doses & Mimosas" off their MoM & DaD album, and their work on "The Night is Young" is what makes it such a standout track.

Black Milk-Cold Day

Detroit native Black Milk drops his first single since his October album No Poison, No Paradise. The album was critically acclaimed and called the best of the year by some. Hopefully we can see some more new music from the up-and-comer in the near future.

Tincup-Cookies

Tincup drops another solid trap mix with "Cookies", but before it drops, make sure and put on some headphones, it's one of those songs that can sound a little bit underwhelming through your computer speakers.

Years & Years-Real

London based electro-pop trio Years & Years have released their video for their single "Real." The group creates a unique sound by fusing R&B, EDM, and pop together, all while keeping the focus on the vocals and lyrics. The video is also pretty amusing and includes some interesting cameos from Skyfall's Ben Whishaw and Misfits' Nathan Stewart-Jarrett. Look for Years & Years' new EP Real, out February 18.

Miguel-Simplethings

Miguel releases his blissful single "Simplethings" for the Girls Vol. 2 soundtrack. Usually, compilation albums like this are full of throwaway singles that didn't make it onto the artist's album, but this track is completely solid and is one of my favorite Miguel joints.

Black Cobain-Disrespectful (feat. Casey Veggies)

Virginia native Black Cobain drops a video for his single "Disrespectful" featuring Casey Veggies. "Disrespectful" can be found on Cobain's latest mixtape, Perfect Contradiction.

Ellie Goulding-Life Round Here (Feat. Angel Haze)

Ellie Goulding drops a cover of James Blake's "Life Round Here" with some help from rapper Angel Haze. The production work is done by former Chiddy Bang member Noah Breakfast and the awesome beat makes this easily distinguishable and unique from Blake's version. I would say this is an improvement of the song, but this version doesn't have a verse from Chance.

Meg Myers-Go

Meg Myers drops a new single from her upcoming EP Make A Shadow. The song features some awesome instrumental work, including a great guitar riff and some great drum work. Look for the new album February 11.
